Whether it’s loungewear or office attire, Amazon’s in-house fashion line, The Drop, is renowned for nailing the fundamentals. I’ve ordered quite a few items from their limited-edition influencer releases and have always been pleased with the quality, so when I saw the influencer behind the well-known Things I Bought and Liked Instagram purchase a comfortable lounge set she claimed had “Olivia Pope vibes,” I knew I had to give it a try.
Even though it’s still about 95 degrees where I live, the brand’s Alice Crewneck and Faith shorts pair has been a mainstay in my weekly wardrobe.
Although it’s cold inside my house and these clothes are composed of a thin, ribbed sweater fabric, they make me feel put together and snug at the same time. The pull-on shorts have a high waist without a drawstring, while the crewneck top has a fashionable backside slit and bell sleeves that are long enough to cover my arms. There are nine complementary hues available for the top and shorts, including beige, black, jade, and dusty purple (which I get compliments on every time I wear it on Zoom).
I can confirm that the loungewear set holds up when cleaned despite the fact that it is advertised as machine washable. Although there are no directions for drying, I’ve been placing the pieces flat to dry and it’s been keeping the shape well. One of the best things about this ensemble, in my opinion, is that I can wear it outside and easily change it into fall-appropriate attire when the weather eventually does turn cool. I can picture myself wearing the entire outfit while dashing to the grocery store, along with white sneakers, and the sweater will look wonderful with white trousers.
Because I have a pretty long inseam and most cropped pants don’t fit me well, the only thing keeping me from purchasing the matching lounge pants version of the shorts is that you can mix and match the colours and sizes amongst the three items. If only the weather would warm up already!
