10 Fashion Trends for Fall That You’ll Want to Wear All Year Round.

We are currently in the “Fiery Depths of Hell” portion of summer, which implies that after a few more sweltering weeks, fall will return. A cool morning walk with a spiced latte in your hand and vibrant leaves crunching on the pavement has a certain allure. I am aware of the enthusiasm for this season. But what about my favourite autumnal feature? The style (said obnoxiously in all caps).

Oh, the style. Fall fashion trends typically consist of the same old sweater/denim pair with some variation of a black boot, while they are usually an exhilarating change of pace — but not this year. Comfy clogs, avant-garde sweaters, and a revival of the dirt bike-inspired fashion trend from years past (looking back to Rihanna’s moto-themed Fenty x Puma spring 2018 show) will all be common in fashion and on feeds for fall 2022.

Come September, eccentric, upscale footwear, leather headpieces, fluffy accessories, and the baggy cargo pants popularised by pop-punk diva Avril Lavigne in the early 2000s will be in style. In relation to Y2K, do you remember trucker hats? Yes, they have returned in full force (mostly thanks to Megan Thee Stallion). The comeback reminds me vividly of Ashton Kutcher’s Punk’d era and, consequently, the famed Ed Hardy and Von Dutch styles you used to see on the heads of pretty much every celebrity.

I’ve highlighted 10 of the hottest trends that you’ll soon be seeing everywhere because fall is just around the corner. For the fall fashion 411 (yeah, I’ve decided to say it again), scroll down.

Jumbo Clogs

Don’t argue with me; clunky clogs are a reality. Clogs eventually lost their “cool” appeal, despite being virtually unavoidable in the 1970s and 1990s. Now, a wide range of maximalist versions by artists like Simon Miller and Lisa Says Gah! have been appearing everywhere.

Abstract Sweaters

On the runways of Kiko Kostadinov, No.21, and GCDS, as well as on the backs of fashion girls like Bella Hadid, Hailey Baldwin, and others, were sweaters with asymmetrical hems and edgy cut-outs.

Statement Loafers

Fall will see a lot of this preppy shoe trend, particularly elevated styles with chunky soles, quirky designs, embroidery, and embellishments. While Eckhaus Latta presented ultra-bulky platform designs in a variety of hues, Louis Vuitton showcased peep-toe loafers.

Leather Outerwear

Fall leather jackets? I am aware of groundbreaking. But this year’s designs from manufacturers stray from the classic motorbike look; I’m talking long, filthy duster jackets, boy blazers, and other unexpected outfit accents.

Trucker Hats

The trucker hat, oh my. One of the most famous Y2K items (remember when Lindsay Lohan wore a “Drama Queen” one?). The revival of the sentimental hat is just getting started. Everyone has been reaching for them lately, including Lady Gaga, Gigi Hadid, Rihanna, Hailey Bieber, and Dua Lipa.

Oversize Button-Ups

A large, boxy button-up is always in fashion. These shirts, a dependable fashion staple, radiate a relaxed elegance. Kendall Jenner, a devoted follower of this style, created a look that was worthy of imitation by teaming a blue-striped version with yellow shorts and vintage Adidas Sambas.

Fur Accessories

The fall 2022 collections were littered with fluffy accessories, including fluffy footwear at Loewe and Bottega Veneta, plush headgear at Versace and Gucci, and soft-textured bags at Fendi and Off-White.

Maxi Skirts

Although micro skirts are also popular right now, for fall we’re switching to the maxi. At Dior, Etro, Chloe, Acne Studios, Altuzarra, and other stores, we saw skirts that skimmed the runway. In addition to a denim design, Bella Hadid has also been photographed wearing a maxi skirt with a zip-away cargo.

Cargo Pants

These baggy, utility-style pants, which were popular in the 1990s and the early 2000s, have just had a major comeback. The Jaded London parachute cargo trousers (seen below) have recently been worn by Hailey Baldwin and Kylie Jenner, respectively.

Motocross

Over the years, we have repeatedly observed this look on the runway. The bold design is back in style right now, perhaps as a result of Rosala’s most recent album Motomami. Kim Kardashian, who always sets fashion trends, recently appeared in a pair of Balenciaga pantaboots with a red, white, and blue colour block pattern that totally reminded us of motocross boots.
